Sign up of teams for participation in the 2019 Lab Awards is progressing well, with 17 teams currently taking part. Of these, 9 teams are actively pursuing an award and 8 are still accredited from 2018.
There are 7 new teams joining for the first time this year:
Regan and Wallace Group QMRI Flow Cytometry Voigt Lab Arulanandam (JP) Lab Kevin Hardwick lab Julie Welburn lab School of Engineering Workshop
This brings the total to 25 teams who are currently or have historically participated in the Lab Awards.
The Office and Lab Awards are on track to reach 45 teams participating in the 2019 Awards, as 46 teams are currently signed up, with several others who are interested but have not yet committed.
Three team meet ups were held over summer with different themes, with 29 participants in total:
Welcome to the Sustainability Awards (for new and returning teams)
Gold Project Workshop (for Office Gold teams) and
Summer Meetup (for all teams)
A wide reaching Lab Awards Launch campaign and targeted invitations were undertaken to help to recruit teams. A resources and materials have been revised, and recommendations from Alistair Souter's Review report have been implemented. A new Yammer communications platform was created to facilitate sharing of best practice.
