Closure Notes
Hi Anne,
About the feedback on this project, I think the project has been developed quite smoothly. The only thing I believe it could be improved for the next projects is trying to gather more detailed information about the architecture from the beginning of the project. In comparison with other projects I have noticed that we were getting the architecture information on demand, I mean when it was required for specific purpose. However, the general idea of the architecture I was very poor in the beginning of the project which can slow down some tasks or lead to mistakes.
On a good note, I believe the communication overall on this project has been quite good and the project meetings were quite useful to agree certain procedures and keep the project members up-to-date on the progress. In general, everybody involved on the project was very helpful on providing what it was requested to them.
Please feel free to modify or summarise my feedback before you add it to the project website.
Regards,
Emilio
'Joinme' and 'always up' were useful check this information as felt kep. Also that Excel was no longer requred on the servers

Hi all,
I have got architecture to remove the RDP timeout for the Trend963 server. So any RDP connections to this should stay connected until you log off.
One thing that Architecture did mention was that they have previously seen issues that an open session can halt the patching. (you can see Murray’s response in the call number I141028-136)
He said he will monitor it at the next patching cycle to see if it is an issue.
John, one thing that came to my mind about the patching issue was how do you usually logoff from the server? i.e. do you just close the RDP window, or do you specifically logoff the machine? If you are logging off each night then this won’t be an issue.
However if you tend to just close the RDP window it means you would still have a session (although not active) running on the machine and I am not sure if this would be an issue. If you could let me know what your normal working is I will check with Architecture to see if this may be problematic or not.
Thanks Mark
