Points to follow up on before Closure
9-Nov-14
Progress on follow up points.
- Ron setting up 2 functional accounts - 1 for Trend 963 and 1 for East Coast Controls, so that remote access can be handled that way. They would still have to go through Apps Supp to ask for access when required and let them know when it is complete
- John will be checking if the monthly windows update works.
- If when it runs and the server does not restart correctly via remote access, then John will phone Mark and if he is not available then Emilio. Ideal is to contact Architecture while there is a problem, so to see what the issue is. (Once restarted Architecture cannot find anything wrong, so has to be now.)
- Emilio will install Always up on Test as soon as he gates the goahead from Andy.
- Emilio will update TAD with required infor from these 3 items
- Once all works, than Project should close.
Hi All,
28-Oct-14
Issue 1
Mark set up Unidesk call re issue 1 - I141028-1236 re timeout issue
Issue 2
Happened on 16th Oct and 22nd Oct (check with John that is the only 2 times?)
(There had been a scheduled patching process on 15-Oct and strange patching cycle due to the Student new year downtimes
Hasn't re-occured since 22-Oct
- 3- If it happens again John H is to phone Mark and Mark will raise with Architecture to investigate.
Ask if production support will alow is to close project?
Alternatvely if it doesn't re-occur for 2 weeks can we close project?
Hold DSOR and Closure meeting next week
Access is blocked in issue 2 and aplication / server required restarted - check which?
Is it individual blockage or write access to the system?
- 4 Feedback to piccl with plan re delay of closure
- 5 send notes to tesm and quick 10 minute chat with team Prod Man, Dev Tech and John H.
-------------------------------------------------
Just spoken to John H to check if there were any items to follow up on.
1. John H's screen keeps hanging while trying to log in to the server - he is going to phone Mark about this in the morning. - Thursday
He says that the other Energy servers stay up all the time, so why is this one an issue?
The other energy applications are not on the same environment
Is it anything to do with 'Always Up' Emilio? - Emilio please let us know? - No
- As the project is still open John should raise a jira in order that it is followed up and documented, and this should be resolved or be a 'known issue' before closure (Anne F)
Emilio has raised a Unidesk call I141023-0178 in order to troubleshoot the issue with the access to the Live server. I have assigned the call to the Architecture team so they can check if there is anywrong with the VM.
I will keep you updated once I get some feedback from them (Emilio)
2. Alister and Emilio are wanting to follow up how East Coast get access - Emilio asked Mark -
'Have you got any news on the vendors access procedure on Trend963? It's just to update the TAD once we have the new procedure.' - Mark please let us know?
- Will be followed up when Mark is back in the office (Emilio)
3 Can I check that that way Trend and East Coast get access is via Apps Supp?
- not sure how this is done at the moment, but we need to document how this is done. (Anne F)
4. Is that a process that Andy and Anne F are agreeing? - Anne F is this correct?
Yes we will need to ensure that there is a standard on how apps are accessed by vendors. (Anne F)
