Priority and Funding

This is a normal priority project and is sponsor funded.

The current estimate is 108 days, spread across IS applications, to take account of IS resourcing, additional workshops, meetings, and additional migration into an UoE SQL environment.

In addition £14K (excluding VAT) is estimated as a one off cost for the activation Asset Management Enterprise Module with a £2.5K (excluding VAT) Annual Support cost and £5K is estimated for external consultancy services for the data migration and support of the data reconciliation.

Impact and Dependencies

  • This project has direct dependency on the progress and delivery of the 23.1 ARCHIBUS Upgrade Project EST098 due to:

    • Both projects having shared resources internally (BA & Tech Dev) and externally with MASS
    • Delivery phase 1,2,3  will be solely dependent on EST098 being successfully implemented and stable before delivery.  Other factors this project is dependent on are:
  • On time delivery of working software (if required) and code to transfer data between environments.
  • The current ARCHIBUS Live environment scoped to handle the amount of storage data being migrated.   
  • Availability of IS resources particularly Development Technology
  • Analyst to assist with UAT test planning and testing.
  • Estates availability to complete UAT.

 

Project Risks

Key Project Risks are:

  1. Changes to agreed scope could adversely impact project delivery.
  2. Data being moved into the live environment may adversely impact system performance.
  3. Database schema table mismatching between hosted and live environments.
  4. Dependency on the ARCHIBUS Upgrade Project including shared technical resources.

There is a dependency on the ARCHIBUS Upgrade project (EST098) to deliver the Asset Management module and functionality into the UofE ARCHIBUS Dev, Test, and Live environments before this project can deliver to these areas. This dependency raises the risk that any agreed timelines for this project could be delayed if there are delays with the delivery of the upgrade project which is current targeting a mid Feb-2018 delivery.

7 Test environment availability Delays Medium L There is a dependency of EST098 delivering a test environment, and being available to EST099 for verifying test migration scripts prior to live migrations. It is possible that EST098 will have priority access to the test environment for any post go live issues identified. This will result in delay to EST099 migration integration and testing.
