Corporate Planner provides data for MI reports required to produce the University's FEC and TRAC returns. There is a hard deadline mid October to provide statutory reports. In addition Corporate Planner is required to facilitate the Universitys strategic Pilot Resource Allocation Model (PRAM) Project. The current Corporate Planner system has encountered issues with lack of server space. Although additional server space has been allocatd and changes have been made to logging, the application is still encountering problems resulting in users being unable to access the required data. There is therefore a critical need to provide new infrastructure for this service. Currently the database can still be accessed directly. There are plans to make the Corporate Planner product available to a wider user group over the next year and a new infrastructre will supprt this. In addition the University would like to take advantage of additional functionality delivered in the latest version of the Advanced Corporate Planner product. This work had already been planned in with the supplier before the server issues were identified. The upgrade was being progressed by the supplier and Management Accounting. The key benefit to progressing with this project is to allow the University to comply with its statutory obligation to provide accurate FEC and TRAC reporting
