The current implementation of eRecruitment is an old version and the support available is limited because of this. The current version has been implemented with a character set which is not the usual one used with eRecruitment and this places UoE in a unique support position with Core. Core have advised that the character set must be converted to the character set the application expects when Upgrading. The eRecruitment Proof of Concept project (HRS086) successfully tested converting the character set as part of the Upgrade process.

The benefits of this project are:

• To move eRecruitment onto the expected Character Set
• Improve the support position for this key university service
• Completing this project will also result in a refreshed User Group for the eRecruitment service which will be helpful when completing the future projects HR have in their 3 year Business plan for the Service.
