This is a small-scale enhancement project with limited scope.
Event Booking sends out a lot of emails all with slightly different wording. Event providers should not need to customise email templates. (Defined as adding a single chunk of user-defined text into the relevant emails rather than full customisation of each relevant email) The specific single use case driving this development work is for adding information about prerequisites/actions to the emails.
The feature will be implemented as follows:
- On the main event editor screen, addition of a button to allow people to add additional text. This button will be near the current fields that allow the user to specify when reminders should be sent.
- Pressing that button will take the user to a new screen to add the text, and when complete the user will be returned to the main editor screen (so it will feel similar to adding a booking question to the event).
- On that new screen the user will have a single text area where text can be entered and also hyperlinks and numbered/bulleted lists as those elements are needed to be able to structure “prerequisites” text.
