The College wishes to introduce a workload allocation modelling tool to facilitate an existing workload allocation model based on spreadsheets; WAMS. The desire is for a Pilot School to POC. If the pilot meets the success criteria then roll-out to the College would be undertaken as a separate project.

The College has a model which Schools deploy and implement with various spreadsheet based mechanisms. This leads to inconsistencies and inability to report across the College. These tools do not allow for modelling and this would be an essential component of the new tool. This system will allow the College to more effectively model its academic workload, improve planning and provide the ability to forecast. Ultimately it will enable more effective use of our academic workforce and will lead to potential savings through avoidance of unnecessary recruitment. The system is highly connected to HR, Student Records and Timetable., therefore stakeholder input on the project is very important.  It is a Cloud-based system with mechansisms for integration to University SSO and data feeds. The College BI team will define and manage the BI element of the system, exporting to College Qlikview dashboards as necessary.
