The use of space within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences has become a pressing priority in the majority of Schools. For a small number of Schools, it is such an issue that the need to manage space systematically has emerged, whereby staff can manage multi-occupancy rooms more efficiently and transparently.

Through investigation and discussion with colleagues in Estates and building and Information Services, it would appear that there are no plans to introduce this functionality to central systems in the short-medium term.

The College therefore is starting an exercise to investigate and potentially procure a system for its Schools to use in order to manage space more effectively. This small project aims to gather the requirements for such a system via a workshop with stakeholders.
