Overview

Background

As part of the drive for the University to have a central environment for Industry Engagement, this project will on-board specific areas of the Business School associated with industry engagement, namely Executive Education, Student Development and Research to the Industry Relationship Management (IRM) Platform. Additionally the Business School Events team will be on-boarded to the IRM to utilise the Events functionality within the IRM.

The Business School Salesforce Instance will continue to be used solely by the Student Recruitment Team and be supported by Jason Murphy from Enterprise Architecture.

Scope

The scope of this project is to enable business contacts and relationship details to be managed and maintained within the IRM for the departments within the Business School associated with industry engagement namely Executive Education, Student Development and the Research Team.  It also includes the on-boarding of the Events team to utilise the Events functionality available within the IRM.

This project has the following in scope:

  • Business Requirements review of Business School Salesforce CRM and IRM, document and sign off
  • Prepare Sandbox for data migration and sign off
  • User Training (Executive Education Team, Events and Business School teams)
  • Data migration to Live System
  • Support for Business School
  • Update DPIA for Salesforce IRM
  • Review technical transfer of LinkedIn Navigator from Business School Salesforce Instance to IRM
  • Data cleansing of the Business School Salesforce Instance for the data used by the teams migrating to IRM

Out of scope

  • Migration of data that falls outside the current configuration of the Business School Salesforce instance
  • On-boarding of additional teams within Business School including the Student Recruitment Team who will remain on the Business School Salesforce instance
  • Reports for the Business School (report writing will be included as part of training)

Objectives and Deliverables

Priority: M = Must Have; S = Should Have; C = Could Have; W = Want

  • M = has to be satisfied for the final solution to be acceptable in terms of delivery dates, compliance, viability etc. 
  • S = high-priority requirement that should be included if possible -workarounds may be available 
  • C = a nice-to-have requirement 
  • W = want but will not be part of this project
