The University currently operates Business Objects Version 11 (BOXI) release 2, this release of the software is now past its supported life. This project must deliver an upgrade to the University's BOXI platform in order to continue support for the platform from SAP and to leverage the benefits of enhanced functionality delivered in the releases following release 2.

The main benefits that this project will deliver are:

  1. Full supplier support for Business Objects - the existing R2 software is no longer supported
  2. Improved feacture for Business Objects - including new report designer and enhanced Universe structures made available

This project has been prioritised as a priority one project not only for the benefits it delivered by also because it is strategically aligned to the University's focus on improving Business Intelligence.
