Project Update 29/05/2020
Good Morning Everyone,
As May draws to a close I thought I’d provide a quick update on the project, including milestones, resources, and next steps.
Project Update
Firstly I think it’s important we celebrate the success we have had thus far, we concluded the Analysis phase on schedule and on budget which is great news – this was only possible with the hard work, dedication, and collaboration shown by all.
There is two key documents currently being worked on as part of the Design phase of the project, I’m very happy to announce Mark Dobbing has been assigned to the Technical Architecture Document (TAD) and has subsequently been assigned to support the project through to closure. Mark will join us in our Bi-Weekly project team meetings going forward.
The second key document and the main deliverable of the Design phase is the System Design Specification (SDS) document. After Peter completed the ADA he was the logical person selected to complete the SDS and I can confirm he has been assigned this and is aiming to have this sent out for review on Tuesday next week (02/06/2020). As with the BRD & ADA, please reserve an hour of your time during the second half of next week to review the SDS. Sign off is required before the Design phase can be concluded.
As People & Money as well as other projects have requested more resource from IS, Peter will not be the Developer assigned to LIB001. Rest assured Karen, Peter, and I, are working closely with Mark Lang and Paul McNulty to ensure there is a Developer resource available.
Next Steps
The Design review meeting you all have in your diary will be pushed our 1 week, it is currently scheduled for Tuesday next week (02/06/2020), and following this message I will reschedule it to Tuesday the following week (09/06/2020).
As noted in the April monthly project report and the last Bi-Weekly Team meeting, Peter and I will be reviewing Developer and Integrations Testing estimations based on the confirmed design which will be produced in the SDS. I will then use the refined estimates to update the project plan.
Hope you all have a good weekend and can enjoy some sun!
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concern, or for a chat!
