Arts Award Bronze Programme, ‘The Power of Public Art’, uses our distinctive assets as University museums to support young people aged 11-18 from widening participation backgrounds across Scotland to increase their confidence in their communication and creativity skills, provide them with an opportunity to gain a recognised qualification and increase their aspirations to go onto Higher Education. 80 young people will take part in an online programme of object based learning with our collections and participatory arts. This programme follows our Arts Award Explore pilot programme, Capturing Lives in Scotland’s Communities, in which 57% of the young people participating said they would be more likely to apply to University in future as a result of participating in the programme.

Start date: 1 Feb 2021 End date: 1 July 2021 Funder: Arts Award Access Amount: £1,390
