Impact and Dependencies

This project is seen as one of the key factors in the continuing enhancement of the student experience at the University of Edinburgh.  The impact of not meeting our phase 1 deadline of 114 rooms operational by the start of academic year 17/18 would be potential reputational damage for the university in terms of student experience and reputational damage for the teams delivering the new service.

The implementation has the following dependencies:

  • Echo360 will supply hardware and expertise.
  • Estates (non-project) refurbishment in several of the core Phase 1 114 rooms.
  • Update to the email relays being carried out by IS Apps Service Management and ITI to add the uun@ed.ac.uk alias.
  • Implementation will produce a unique service covering Learning Spaces Technology, Helpline and LTW Teams
  • Special CAB approval as we will be delivering in that period for Phase 1.
