Overview
Background
The Data Lab has been running a face-to-face version of this course successfully for the last year to both private and public sector companies in Scotland. In the last year the course has been delivered to over 800 delegates from over 70 different organisations. There is no doubt that there is an appetite for this course and an online version would allow The Data Lab to reach an international market, showcasing Scotland and the data science community here.
This course has already been delivered to both Scottish Enterprise and Highlands and Islands Enterprise staff to equip them with the knowledge to have a data conversation with their customers. Data is a priority area for Scottish Enterprise and they need their staff to be able to confidently talk around the opportunity that lies in data. They are now able to help their customers with funding as well as pointing them to the Data Lab community.
