This project will continue to support the Zhejiang Chinese collaboration which commenced in 2016.
In particular it will:-
- investigate lessons learned from the initial teaching for year 1 students during their 2016-17 academic year
- identify and where possible automate(and or reduce) the level of manual intervention required during year 1 activity
- review support and process documents created during year 1
- discuss the work planned for phase 2 / year 2.
In addition, to investigate the Jisc (represents the UK further and higher education sector on international educational technology standards initiatives) TNE support structure to help future TNE partnerships.
In summary; the project will review the delivery mechanism delivered at the end of 2016 to ensure it delivers an automated “TNE” type flag in the student system. This would allow us to “learn from our experiences in year 1”, and help improve the automated approach, where possible, for the summer and the intake for year 2. There is obviously a fair amount of detail in the latter part , but this is the work which will be teased out via the project.
Also, the project will capture anything that comes up which is out of scope, and park these as potential inputs into a future project in 2017/18 – indeed the project has already captured information around research and PG, and as this arrangement / TNE partnership is likely to grow, this may simply require a new rolling project each year to tackle the new elements.
