Background

Each year the College replace a number of PCs within its student computer labs, teaching spaces and meeting rooms (known as facilities managed machines).  The replacements are based on a 5 year lifecycle and for financial year 2019/20 the replacements are below.

 

Scope

Computer Labs

30 x PCs for Teaching Lab 1 in the Vet School

48 x PCs for Teaching Lab 2 in the Vet School

48 x PCs for G.02 and G.02A in the Vet School

10 x PCs for G.03 and G.03A in the Vet School

5 x PCs for the café in the Vet School

4 x PCs for Vet Exams

10 x PCs for the Anatomy Museum (Teviot)

 

Teaching/Meeting Rooms

11 x PCs for the Chancellor's Building

 

Objectives

To replace the PCs in the above areas within a timely manor and with the least amount of inconvenience to students and staff.

 

Deliverables

A total of 166 PCs replaced within the financial year.

 

Benefits

Student computer labs receive new PCs when required.

Teaching spaces and meeting rooms receive new PCs when required.

College can forecast budget spend based on age of PCs within the estate.

 

Success Criteria

All 166 PCs are replaced and paid for within the financial year.
