This project is a top to bottom review of IS support for the Division of Psychiatry with a view to making changes in key areas to mitigate exisitng single points of failure.

Initially, it was though that the project would be split in to two primary elements with seperate time scales -

* Move to 7 George Square - A small scale pilot move and development set up

* Kennedy Tower a large scale implementation of the Pilot.

However, the 7 George Sq moves have been able to occur without any technical involvement. Support will be picked up by this project and reviewed.

Therefore, the pilot approach has been abandoned and instead the project brief will focus on:-

• replace switches at Kennedy Tower (Edlan and Internal)
• bypass the firewall via appropriately set acl's

Future projects will need to be created to address the Kennedy Tower network issues, George Sq access and the Psychiatry roadmap (which may well extend into other locations)
