Work/Task Breakdown

The work in progress high level project plan is as follows:

 

Phase 1 - steps to deliver the Live site

Project team work up an initial pilot based on the lead user requirements

Pilot site will be tested at Zhejiang for any performance or access issues

Pilot site will be developed and current content will be migrated to fine tune look and feel

Once approved, the pilot can be migrated to live

For remaining users the pilot site will be developed, tested, approved, content migrated and then the live site will be updated

Existing shared drive entries will be updated with hyperlinks to the new sharepoint, decommission after a reasonable period of time

Day 1 training and support will be provided to ensure all critical staff can navigate

Ensure support in place

It will be the responsibility of the local team to work with Zhejiang staff to guide them through the new sharepoint

The project team will support any suitable requirements EG tips and hints etc

Close phase 1

Phase 2 - process flow requirements

Project team to run workshops developing process flow documents

These will be handed over to sharepoint team to assess with budget and timeline

The project sponsor will need to approve the spend for each activity

Develop, hand over and promote to live

Ensure support in place

Prepare to close phase 2

Phase 3 - wiki updates

Project team work up an initial pilot based on the lead user requirements

Resources, Skills and Costs

Resources from the following teams are required to deliver this project:

  • Project Services   -  Project Manager                                                                                         31 days
  • Project Services   -  Portfolio Manager                                                                                     1 days
  • IS Management Services                                                                                                                10 days

It is anticipated that no other IS resources will be required

  • MVM - BioMedical, have several key stakeholders (Cristina, Mike and several new colleagues) providing a conduit into Zhejiang + MVM support team

Assumptions:

  • Mainly covered by risks.
  • No additional IS requirements:-
