Background and Vision

This project within the Open Digital Badge Programme revolves around the implementation of the Open Digital Badge service. It follows on from the procurement project which includes partnering with Instructure as the platform provider. The project also runs concurrently with the standards and governance project.  

The scope and purpose of the implementation project is to:

1. Ensure compliance and regulatory checks are completed and approved (DPIA, EQIA, Accessibility Statement, Privacy Statement, legal contract, Protocol for Access to Student Data Form and Information Security approval).
2. Create service and relevant service support processes, definitions and documentation.
3. Configure the platform and provide access to the service team
4. Apply the University of Edinburgh branding and applicable institutional hierarchy.
5. Produce guidance and supplemental information about the service for relevant audience.
