The Institute of Genetics and Molecular Medicine (IGMM) has been formed following the merger of The MRC Human Genetics Unit, Edinburgh Cancer Research UK (ECRC) and the Molecular Medicine Centre.
The purpose of this project is to consider the existing computer systems, services and IT working practices with in the buildings that form the IGMM, and that of the existing services within University. The project will follow a controlled transition to a cost-effective model of support which ensures a seamless, consistent and fully integrated approach to the delivery of hardware and services. The project work itself can be identified in four distinct groups that could progress at varying rates, however a focus will remain on integrating these steps where possible.
