Impact
The introduction of a new VLE will impact all MBChB students and teaching staff from July 2017. The current EEMeC system has been in use for a number of years and is a familiar environment. Although there are clear benefits to adopting LEARN, the change effort involved should be acknowledged. The MTO team will be supported by LTW but the majority of the content preparation and migration will fall to the MTO team. There are a number of systems connected to EEMeC that may not be supported in the longer term, and new links to these systems may have to be established as part of the project.

Impact and Dependencies
Upgrades to PebblePad and LEARN are scheduled for summer 2017, shortly before the go-live date for this project. This may result in some uncertainty around specific functionality or user interfaces.
EEMeC has links to a number of other bespoke systems, and the project should ensure that any core functionality is still available to staff and/or students.
