This project is to scan destructively one copy of the Guardbook, the Library’s pre-1985 catalogue for printed collections. 975 volumes will be scanned and output as 300 dpi keyword-searchable PDFs; the remaining run will be retained at the University Collections Facility as the archival copy. All digitisation work will be outsourced. The digital files will be made available to staff initially through the shared drive  and then through a publicly accessible collections.ed site at a later date.
