Project Summary

The objective of this project is to collect information to support the production of a new MI. The new MI will improve Quality Management as it will be easier for different levels of managers to view the information they need.

Data was collected from Primary and secondary sources and analysed. Suggestions for changing the MI are made based on these. The data collection, analysis and conclusions are are collected into the main report which is the primary deliverable of this project.

 

Objectives & Deliverables

The primary deliverable of this project was a research report detailing current MI and potential MI change. The following are different parts of the report that would be essential to include:

D.5 Support for new MI reports/dashboards Partial Discussed research result with head of the PMO throughout writing the report. The Project Managers contract ends before MI is being developed but will be available to answer questions.

Key Learning Points

  • Be better prepared for interviews with a well-prepared set of questions and forms to fill out in order to gain more manageable data.

 

Outstanding Issues

The outstanding issues not addressed  by this project are outlined in detail in the report. Some of these are out of scope from the Project, but were issues raised by the managers.

In summary they are:

  • The MI report doesn't review MI not related to projects
  • There is double reporting in SSP which should be addressed as soon as possible
  • Lessons learned should be used more

Changes to the MI have not been written as of the authoring of this closure report. It is up to the PMO or other relevant parties to change the things they see fit.
