Introduction

In 17/18 a pilot was approved to support the development of three Distance Learning at Scale Programmes. We have currently engaged across the Colleges and Schools for step one of the process which is to identify course programmes (subject courses) to take to initial targeted market research.

Additionally, we have commissioned a targeted marketing vendor to conduct specific market research on these subjects.

Next Steps

In line with University policy, we will be working with the Schools and Colleges to develop sound business cases for each proposed programme. The course programmes are to be agreed by mid-October following the results of the market research.

This will allow for development to begin before end of 2017 close  and for a targeted launch of each online programme in September 2018.

Approach & Business Case Development

In line with University policy, we will be working with Schools and Colleges to develop sound business cases for each proposed programme using an amended Course Costings Template and the normal University Business Case Template.
