Impact and Dependencies

The project will make APM resources more visible to students. Additionally, this project will also outline a long term communication plan, detailing additional ways to raise student APM awareness, which is likely to have a long term impact on the usage of APM resources by student.

Lessons learned from previous projects

Previous intern projects have faced issues in regards to time to complete the project. As the internship is only 12 weeks, this restricts the amount of time spent on the project as well as shortening the milestone deadlines. In order to limit the impact of this, I will ensure I am making large amounts of progress each week in order to meet all milestones by the desired dates.

Additionally, previous intern projects have faced communication and progression issues in regards to contacting the project sponsor and finding time availability for regular meetings. In order to learn from this, I will ensure that progress is still being made by ensuring that in between meetings, there are large chunks of tasks to be done to ensure that progress is still occurring. Further, if I am lacking guidance or advice that isn't project specific and my project sponsor is unavailable, I will consult other senior staff in the PMO in order to ensure obstacles are overcame.
