Development Planning Meeting - 3rd October 2012

Meeting Note:

      1.  Alyson and Clive confirmed that Brian’s listings of differences between BETA and TEST, and between TEST and LIVE, confirm that:

TEST contains:

Gaby’s changes for the missing persons

Gaby’s resolution for Brian’s UniDesk call I120130-0638 (Stratford) 

BETA contains:

Gaby’s changes (as above)

Clive’s changes

      2.  The group confirmed the previous meeting’s agreement that the two UniDesk calls that cover requirement changes to the HR extract code will be rolled in with the Fixed Term Contract changes, and handled by the Config team.  This is to prevent confusion from two different teams making concurrent updates to the same module of code.

Clive and Greg to investigate and resolve Gaby’s miscreant code. 

Alyson reckons it’s the join that’s the problem with this, and recommends replacing it with a loop.

Alyson to provide spec for items B, C2. and C3. in the 10^th September meeting note.

      3.  Recommendations:

Defeng recommended that all HR extract code changes be bundled together for UAT testing.  This will prevent the additional time and increased risk of manually backing out Gaby’s unfinished changes before applying the new changes, then manually re-applying Gaby’s changes afterwards. 

Defeng advised that he and Adam should explain to Manya and James that all HR extract changes will be bundled into a single release, and that nothing will go live until Manya has signed off all changes in UAT.

      4.  Actions:
