Routine minor  upgrades to the PURE application are delivered by Production Management.

However typically once a year - a major release of PURE will also require server-side components upgraded including Java and Tomcat.

When these server-side upgrades are including - a formal project is required to co-ordinate the effort across Dev Tech, Production Management and the business units.

In 16-17 - it looks likely that no server-side upgrades to Java and Tomcat will be required - however to move to v5.7 UoE will need to upgrade to Oracle 12c ( RES062 - project currently suspended) 

It is expected that this project will be withdrawn and the budget re-allocated to other higher priority projects in the RES programme
