Impact

Priority and Funding

  • This is a Compliance project
  • Core funded - 3 Year Planning estimated this project as  50 days (projection initation reduced to 20 days for 1 upgrade), this was re-estimated to 30 days as part of project planning.
  • This project is within the RIS programme and should be considered a 'Normal' priority project

Impact and Dependencies

  • The upgrade to v2022.7 and then v2023.1 will move us to the most recent release of Worktribe

Worktribe's change to their way of working affected this project as it meant that a period of time needed to be negotiated with P&M to accommodate testing in DEV. And then, because we didn't have all integrations running in DEV, we needed to negotiate with Worktribe for a window between TEST and LIVE (which will not be an option in the future).

A summary of what is required going forward:

  • We need to have a fully functioning DEV environment for the next upgrade (where DEV has all integrations turned on and which is not being used for development at the same time).
  • For the next upgrade TEST and LIVE will be upgraded on the same day (as per Worktribe's new standard process).
  • And this will be how Worktribe want us to deploy in the future.

We currently have no timeline from Worktribe (although RIS have asked) regarding the porting of the SFTP functionality from 16.04 to 20.04. This may or may not affect our ability to take the next upgrade, this is currently unknown. Please refer to items 1, 2 and 3 below.

The notes below in the lessons learned table are more items to be aware of before the next upgrade - with number 4 being of the utmost importance.
