This initial project is to develop an integration between Pure and SharePoint utilising Pure API (this is dependent on triggers and availability of webhooks to support the integration) / Pure Web Services and Pure Impact form so that the functionalities of both systems can be used to support the effective collection and tracking of impact evidence. This will bring together the data in Pure for people, organisations, publications, awards, projects, press/media, with the evidence information for the tracking and development of research impact projects that is currently held in SharePoint for many Schools. The combination of the two datasets from the two systems will facilitate the development of informative reports to inform the strategic direction of research impact development. This integration is one-way only from Pure to SharePoint no republishing back to Pure required.
Out of scope of this project is:
- the creation of business processes that make use of the integration,
- the development of reports using the data and
- the linking of the University’s impact case studies with the REF2029 submission system.
A development roadmap is required for future projects to ensure funding is available to expand functionality of the site.
We are currently in the REF2029 cycle and are working towards a submission date of late 2028. This project is timely in that it will enable the accumulation of a wealth of information to be used for the REF2029 submission.
As this project will make use of the existing web services functionality in Pure, it is not dependent on other Pure projects.
