The objective of this proposal is to support the University of Edinburgh's Digital Research agenda by establishing a computational notebook infrastructure for use (initially) by University of Edinburgh researchers in support of data science. Built using open source tools and building upon prior work by EDINA in this area whilst tapping latent demand within UofE, the project will demonstrate the broader utility of such infrastructure and explore sustainability issues. Initial work will focus on known users in Geosciences and will gather evidence of demand and requirements from other Schools and departments.
