Key Information Sets (KIS) are comparable sets of standardised information about undergraduate courses. They are designed to meet the information needs of prospective students and will be published 'in context' on the web-sites of universities and colleges. This return is mandatory, and further information is available from the HEFCE website. HEFCE are allowing estimates in year 1 for assessment and learning and teaching methods. A low-tech approach (data keying) is being taken in making the 11/12 return (out of scope for this project). Year 2 (12/13) requires calculations based on actual student choices, requiring developments to Course Creation, Approval and Maintenance (CCAM) and significant programmatic calculations to actually perform the calculations. The objective of this project is to prepare and provide the KIS data for HEFCE.
