This project forms Phase 2 of the SAC009 Widening Participation.The current SIMD dataset that is used as the 'source' to stamp applications from 2013/4 onwards is the 2009 datset which was available at the time.The Scottish Government has subsequently introduced the 2012 dataset, but it is unclear when exactly the SFC wishes for this to be made the 'current' dataset upon which to perform analysis,especially with regards to meeting Outcome Agreement KPI's.

This phase of the project is concerned with the following

1) Updating the SIMD dataset to refer to the 2012 dataset from the previous 2009 dataset.

The detailed milestones for Phase 2 will be tracked in this project. The issues, risks and changes in scope will be tracked in the SAC009 Project website.

Not in scope:

1) Formulating a solution for postcode updates

2) Providing a mechanism for multiple stakeholders to access a single centrally maintained SIMD dataset
