The purpose of the project is to review Direct Admissions Processes across the university with a particular focus on PG and VS applicants looking at the process from the decision to submit an application to the point of decision. This review will be facilited by an external consultant who will cover the following areas as part of the review:
- Current Business Processes
- EUCLID Software/Other Software usage
- Policies and Guidelines
- Possible Future Business Processes
The project sponsor has asked the consultant to focus on how processes can be improved in relation to the following areas:
- Applicant Experience
- Staff Experience (including roles and system functionality)
- Data and Management Information
- Compliance Risk Management (both in terms of legislation and Universoty Policy)
- Governance and Decision Making
The benefits will be as follows:
- Enhance the applicant experence both in terms of turnaround time and ease of the process.
- Enhance the communications to applicants throughout the process and as result improve conversion rates.
- Allow university central functions to interact easily with the direct admissions process understanding the application across all areas of the university.
- Encourage and promote consistent business process being used across all staff involved in direct admissions.
- Build on the changes made for UCAS paperless admissions extending their use into Direct Admissions to enhance staff experience of working with volumes of data within EUCLID.
- Remove processing outside of EUCLUD where possible creating a single applicant record with EUCLID which is visible to all staff involved in admissions.
- Standardise data capture across the colleges to aid Management Reporting across the areas by GASP and SRA.
- Produce a consistent code set within EUCLID with as little hardcoding or college/school specific changes as possible and as few different version for different audiences.
