This is to replace the machines which are currently dedicated for EUCLID (i.e. not shared with any other system) , as they are nearing end of life, to new ones. The scope will be to move SITS (STAR) and EUGEX (HUB) databases into new infrastructure and make the Application Tier virtual for all environments (DEV, TEST, TRN , DUST and LIVE).
The SITS database would move to new dedicated servers, with the same structure as our existing database.
This upgrade will bring several benefits:
- better performance, user experience improvement
- better support, faster recovery and easier patching
- future scalability
- lower maintenance costs
