Staff in colleges and schools regularly raise the issue that performance of UG/PG Admissions is unsatisfactory during the peak period (Jan – March). The performance problems measurably impact on their ability to process applications to the stated deadlines with their budgeted resources. The business objectives cannot currently be fulfilled without overtime, goodwill and luck.
This project will to look at a way to reduce the response time for the most used area (switching tabs within the same applicant) in UG. It will also gather evidence enabling the team to direct development efforts in those areas most likely to have a significant performance improvement visible to users before the peak period begins in January 2019.
The evidence gathered may be used to make further improvements in a follow-on project.
