The SITS UCAS odbc-link integration is deprecated in 2023. It is replaced by the new UCAS xml-link method of transmission of data between UCAS and SITS, to be ready at cycle change over on 25 Sep 2023.
Benefits
- Support 2024 cycle applications, which are only going to be made available via XML-link.
- The xml-link method involves a direct connection to the database at UCAS so that transactions from and decisions to UCAS can be accessed immediately.
- XML-link offers better security.
