The scope is to address the end of life of two components required for the next SITS software upgrade. They are (1)the Operating System for both the application and database tiers, and (2)the character set
Deliverables
- The operating system for both the EUCLID database and application tiers needs to be upgraded . Centos 7 OS end of life is June 2024- To be done before the next SITS upgrade (delivered in March 24)- MUST
- The currently used WE8ISO8859P1 character set will be desupported after version 10.5 (i.e. the current EUCLID software version), and a move to AL32UTF8 will be needed as this will become the only supported character set from version 10.9- MUST
- Investigate moving Documents (men_doc) out of the database to a file server – research only-recommended by Tribal - will inform whether old documents (some are 15 years old) can be deleted due to large doc databse size / GDPR impact/ SSP will look at the process related to doc upload /access -COULD HAVE
