Business case approved at the SA&S Board March 2018

Business case has been approved to deliver a new dedicated, expert service for staff and students to support working and study away activity. New standard business processes, with supporting systems will reduce inefficient, duplicative processes and re-keying of data for students and staff. Relevant, accurate and up to date information will be held in a central record, accessible to relevant colleagues.

Key benefit:

  • One support service for students and staff.
  • Clearly defined and consistently implemented processes to support activity.
  • Simpler processes for allocating students to opportunities, improved management information, less manual work.
  • Improved emergency response and clear lines of accountability and responsibility.
  • Released staff time

Separate procurement project has started to source a new system to support the above changes.
