Student Intakes are a major strategic and financial driver, and data is key to the University’s decision making. Reporting is currently sourced from Universes built on the EUCLID operational system of Student data. While useful, this structure is fragmented in nature, between live and historic snapshot history, and UG and PG.  

An integrated data model within the EDW, designed specifically to feed into strategic reporting such as a student application tracker will not only move the ETL heavy lifting from BI Developers to EDW (allowing analysts to focus on solely on tracking and forecasting of intakes) but also allow for more time sensitive analysis to be undertaken
