Jonathan Silvertown, the Chair in Technology Enhanced Science Education, is proposing a project to create a Virtual Edinburgh. The aim of Virtual Edinburgh is to make Edinburgh the City of Learning by turning the entire city and its environs into a pervasive, interactive learning environment. While not willing to agree funding for the full project at this point, CSE are willing to fund work by IS Applications to help Jonathan develop a Business Case for funding the full project. The aim of this short project is to support Jonathan Silvertown in preparing a business case for the project, to bring clarity to what the project is aiming to achieve, together with the projected costs and benefits and delivery timeline.
