The University is procuring a Short Courses Platform (SCP). This platform will offer education for learners on not-for-credit short courses, including online, blended, and face-to-face delivery to promote lifelong learning. 

This project covers the launch of the SCP with early adopters, starting with the roll-out of the virtual learning environment (VLE) in April 2024 with the SCP’s catalogue following in spring. The early adopters will consist of colleagues from the Centre of Open Learning (COL) whose courses need to be moved from Learn onto the SCP. 

The aim of the early adopter project is to provide early access to the SCP platform to gain key insight into the design and creation of courses, modes of delivery, and guidance and training required for colleagues to provide the best possible student experience. This knowledge will be used to produce a course template, guidance resources and training materials for the wider institutional roll-out of the SCP platform.
