May 2020 UPDATE:
An online webinar was held on 23rd April where I presented a slideshow covering the climate and ecological crises, the University's response to them, and how labs can play their part (including tips for good practice, and links to further resources). The webinar was attended by c.26 people live, with around 1/3 of the attendees taking part in the interactive sections (quizzes). The webinar was recorded and has now been put onto the Labs section of the SRS website, and a link circulated to others who may be interested in doing the training, including those who signed up but couldn't attend on the day (42 people signed up on EventBrite). Feedback was positive. Analysis has not yet been undertaken to ascertain what proportion of the attendees were technicians. I am not sure if there is a way to monitor who accesses the video of the presentation online, and to find out if they are technicians or not.
Longer term, the UK-wide LEAN group may develop a universally applicable lab sustainability online training session, which I will feed into.
