This project will enhance the student experience by providing personalised timetables, created in Scientia Syllabus Plus via Office 365. This solution will enable students to view their University appointments alongside their personal commitments, and providing capability for improved access via mobile devices. The project will:

  • Define and document the student requirements and associated test criteria
  • Develop a robust infrastructure to support integration of Office 365 with Sylllabus Plus, including appropriate synchronisation of data between the applications
  • Develop data synchronisation capability to enable data changes in Syllabus Plus to be reflected in Office 365, at an appropriate frequency
  • Deliver an integrated solution that enables Syllabus Plus activities to be viewed in individual student Office 365 calendar
  • Ensure approriate support resources, Help Desk, FAQs etc are in place for the service launch

The integrated service will be offered initially to both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Taught students. As personalised timetables will be offered via the University Portal (MyEd)in time for the start of the academic year, there is no hard delivery date for this project. However, the aim is to complete the implementation as early as possible in the academic year 2013/14.
