Project Integration Testing
Integration Test Definition
The Integration Testing will consist of several straightforward steps that will help to ensure that a TEST version of the application is available and fit for testing by the participants of the UAT sessions planned for January. The first steps will see the files/code prepared under the Build stage - once it has been peer tested and signed off in DEV - copied into TEST and that it is fully accessible for testing. Once this is done, testing by colleagues in Production and Project Services can undertake the following:
- Load testing
- Change testing
- Student account testing
- Functional requirements testing
The first three of these will also test the logging capabilities in the application, and are designed to check that these are captured as needed. The final set of testing will be a run through of what UAT testers will expect to carry out, and is effectively a 'trial run' for this testing. Its purpose is to demonstrate that the TEST application is set up correctly and works in the expected manner.
