The current Degree Finders are approaching the end of their technical life. This project is to undertake an evaluation of options to extend their end of life or replace these products, considering the work in-progress as part of the Service Excellence Programme and taking into account other current and future business requirements including the CMA consumer protection legislation requirements.
The UG & PG Degree Finders are two separate products which have branched and been developed separately over time from an initial common code base.
They are the electronic prospectus for the Programmes offered by all Schools.
The Degree finders support an adminstration workflow which allows the updates to each programme to be delegated to editors in schools.
A snapshot of the relevant data published to the UG & PG degree finders and other school and student systems websites,at the time of each offer, should form part of the terms and conditions of the offer to each applicant. Therefore any new proposed solution should be able to support the CMA consumer protection legislation and best practice in the sector and include provision of publication of the offer terms and conditions in a 'durable medium'
