Priority and Funding

Priority is 'Essential compliance' as:

  • Current product will become unsuported by the vendor and we will be forced to upgrade or lose service.
  • Licensing conditions will be breached and we will run out of accounts if we do not resolve the question of removing old accounts from our license.

 

Project will be Funded by IS.

 

Impact and Dependencies  

Impact:

Excellence in Teaching and Learning -

  • Provide the highest quality learning and teaching environment for the greater wellbeing of our students and deliver an outstanding educational portfolio.
  • Provide students with high quality ePortfolio tool enabling them to continuously enhance their learning practices and to support their on-going personal development.

Quality Infrastructure -

  • Current version coming to end of life.

  • Need to ensure University stays within licensing agreement.

Enhancing student experience -

  • Produce graduates fully equipped to achieve the highest personal and professional standard.

  • The new functionality and tools available in the updated version of Pebblepad provides a framework for supporting students’ lifelong learning.

 

Dependancies:

  • Depandant on Pebble learning to provide installation of Pebble+ (has been available from July 2012)
  • Dependant on connection to IDM for existing provisioning functionality
  • Dependant on EUCLID for existing course enrolments information used by assessment components
  • Dependant on new documentation and training
