This project follows on from the procurement project (TEL011).

It will provide a personal response system that offers a sustainable, reliable and feature rich experience for both staff and students. Rather than rely upon ageing and proprietary hardware, adopt a software based solution that can be run through students own devices, in order that all students can make use of the new service. Students should benefit from the more interactive and engaging pedagogies and tutorials that smart personal response systems can offer, whilst staff events can also share in the richer options for event feedback.

Some benefit will come from the greater awareness of the new service capability, where communications is an important part of this implementation project. The support service and guidance that will be developed should empower staff and students to get the most benefit from this new approach.

The procurement has awarded supplier Top hat the contract to deliver the replacement system.

The service is hosted by Top Hat, and will run software on mobile devices rather than dedicated handsets.
