This project will undertake a review of how data is handled in MS Teams and the ways in which MS Teams encourages teaching practices that could be viewed as learning analytics. The review will be undertaken by an external consultant who will submit a report on their findings.
The scope of the review will be to:
- Understand the flow of student learning data / staff teaching data in MS Teams, with respect to potential monitoring and surveillance
- Understand data analytics in Teams, in relation to the Jisc Code of Practice for Learning Analytics, which the University of Edinburgh helped shape
- Understand the future road map for MS Teams
