There are three areas of work in the scope for this project.

Upgrade Room Booking Service ( Scientia WRB application) 

The room booking service is used by staff and students to book hundreds of rooms of all types across dozens of university buildings. This project will upgrade the current version of  Scientia Web Room Booking to v2.2 and will be delivered with Scientia consultancy. 

Learn Feed Changes

Compliance changes for the start of semester 1 in Aug 2017 - changes to the building block in line with upgrade to new version of Learn in July 2017 and 4 key improvements to the Learn Feed to fix critical issues experienced at the  start of Semester 1 in Sept 2016

BI Suite Report Changes

A number of changes to existing reports have been identified and also a requirement for a new report. These changes are required for the start of Semester 1 in Aug 2017 , as they are addressing critical issues experienced at the start of Semester 1 in Sept 2016

The main benefits of this project will be:

WRB ( Web Room Booking) 

• Enabling staff and students to make and check room bookings on the go by delivering an adaptable interface to suit mobile devices.
• Improving product support by ensuring alignment with the current version.
• Ensuring service stability by delivering the ability to set a concurrent user threshold.

Learn Feed Changes

• Compliance changes to ensure the feed isn't broken by the upgrade to the new version of Learn ( from supplier Blackboard)
• Reduce duplication of effort
• Improve quality of information

BI Suite Report Changes

• Address a number of issues with the operational exception reports that adversely  impacted the Timetabling service at start of Semester 1 in Sept 2016
